THE MAKER SERIES

A Social Enterprise celebrating creativity in all its forms across North Devon.

The North Devon Maker Series is a social enterprise that showcases the impressive work of skilled artists and craftspeople from the North Devon area. Through a collection of short films, photographs, and interviews, viewers are granted an intimate look into the world of these artisans.

A little bit about Jess, founder of The Maker Series

Jess is very passionate about creativity and whilst building her own film business in 2013, she started to understand the pros and cons of living in such an isolated part of the country. Not deterred by these difficulties, Jess reached out to lots of helpful organisations, including North Devon Plus, the Bideford Bridge Trust, the Prince’s Trust and the School for Social Entrepreneurs. Through her conversations with people, organisations, and artists, Jess has built a useful network that she wants to connect others to.

“What's fascinating is that there's no one-size-fits-all approach to achieving this balance, and that's precisely what the Maker Series aims to explore.”
